A George II chiming music clock in case of different fruit woods, gilt brass dial with openwork corner ornaments and female mask, chapter ring with Roman and Arabic numerals, calendar dial to the centre, the arch with two dials 'Chime-Not Chime' and the two tunes 'A Chourous' and 'White Hall', movement with eight bells and large striking bell, the back plate of the movement engraved with flowers and foliage. Signed to the arch 'John Meredith, London'. England, mid-18th century. H. 50 cm. W. 35 cm. D. 22 cm.
