An Indo-Persian Shamshir in its scabbard with an unusual blade in wootz. The grip in bone with an iron quillion, the c 83 cm long almost straight blade with two fullers to each side is steel carved on one side with an inscription and on the other with a tughra and a lion? mark as well as a golden moon and a star. The wooden scabbard is wrapped in black leather with two iron mounts.

Condition

The grip cracked, the quillion rust marked, the scabbard repair with new leather by the throat and its mount is rust marked. The lower mount is missing.

For the purchased lot we require an import permit from your home country authority. If the buyer of this auction lot lives outside of Denmark, the pick up of the lot can only be conducted by an authorized forwarding agent with a weapons license.
