Ted Moore: An original b/w press photograph of the Scottish actor Sir Sean Connery (1930–2020) in his role as James Bond in “Thunderball” from 1965. Back with (vague) date/publication date (December 22, 1965). Photo size 25×20 cm. Frame size 43×33 cm.
Ian Fleming (1908–1964) based his fictional character James Bond upon various different types he had met during his work within the British Naval Intelligence Division, including secret agents and arms experts. Also his brother, Peter Fleming, who was active behind enemy lines in Greece and Norway in the war years, served as a source of inspiration.
This is an original b/w press photograph from 1965, which shows normal signs of age and handling. Furthermore tiny scratches on the front and a somewhat discoloured back.
