"The motif for my sculpture is a sort of a tight graphic based on organic natural shapes. I decided that the motif had to be personal as I am also good friends with one of the people behind this project, Jens-Peter Brask. One day we were eating brunch and I noticed a great motif standing next to our table; a nice big palm tree of some kind in a pot. I took a photo of it and made a drawing which was then transferred to the sculpture".

About the artist: Peter Birk is one of the leading contemporary artists in Denmark. He is known for his creative use of colors and different materials and his work is often centered around things in decay.
