Kurt Østervig, ascribed to (b. 1912, d. 1986)

A teak dining table in convex shape with two flip down leaves. Oak frame. Adjustable brass strecthers under the leaves. Manufactured at Brande Møbelfabrik by Jørgen Clausen. 1950s. H. 73. L. 130/232. W. 76/89 cm.

Cabinetmaker Jørgen Clausen bought Brande Furniture in 1946.

In the 1950s and 1960s, furniture was produced from their own design studio, but also furniture designed by the furniture architects Einar Larsen & Aksel Bender Madsen, Ib Kofod-Larsen and Kurt Østervig.

Condition

Minor wear due to age and use. Marks and scratches. Some marks/chips along the top.
