Many watch collectors have been acquainted with Universal Genève through their Polerouter model, designed by none other than Gérald Genta himself at the age of 23. However, few collectors know that Genta designed another model during his time at Universal. This model was introduced in 1965 under the epitome ''Shadow'', which was produced in many different references. The Shadow series became a favourite of Universal Genève's dress watches due to their millimeter-thin cases and elegant appearance.
