Jacob Frères rue Meslee, attributed to

A Restauration gilt bronze mounted secrètaire, mahogany and mahogany veneer over oak, rectangular white Carrara marble top above a drawer with gilt bronze mounts and ring handle, fall front decorated with raised crossed mahogany cornucopia terminating in fine quality gilt bronze baskets of flowers and fruits. Enclosing a fitted interior with small drawers and mirror gallery with freestanding columns, the lower part with two doors, resting on a rectangular plinth and block feet. France, c. 1820. H. 150 cm. W. 98 cm. D. 48 cm.
