A Danish silver “hovedvandsæg” vinaigrette, gilt interior, heart-shaped body engraved with rocailles, set with clear rhinestones, of these two with owner's initials P?S and CSD, the top cast with two savages holding a facetted rhinestone, base stem with two rampant lions, oval base with balm hide. Maker Christian Jørgensen Westrup, Copenhagen c. 1796. Weight 87 g. H. 10.5 cm.

Provenance: Käthe & John Marsing's collection.

Condition

Wear due to age and use. Rhinestones with a few minor chips. One rhinestone mount missing a small piece of the mount.
