“Falda” by studioutte (Italy)
Pine | Natural aluminium
The vision of studioutte is distinctly Italian, characterised by an integrated, harmonious reality. Its hybrid design is composed of vernacular architecture research and influences from various regional practices. Through a clear, expressive approach, the aim is purity— reaching beyond the formality of simplicity, ideas are distilled into essential, poetic forms and spaces. A concise, yet intricate entity, the Falda bench encapsulates the rudimentary architecture of a roof. Composed of elongated solid wood that rests precisely on untreated.
The chosen charity is Fondo Ambiente Italiano (FAI), an Italian nonprofit organisation dedicated to the protection and preservation of Italy's cultural heritage and natural landscapes. Founded in 1975, FAI aims to safeguard historical sites, landscapes, and monuments through conservation efforts, public awareness campaigns, and educational initiatives. FAI aligns with the vision of fostering community and preserving cultural treasures for future generations.
