Jacob Kjær (b. 1896, d. 1957)

“Fionia”. Circular coffee table of solid nut wood, mounted on round, tapering legs with brass fittings. Top with four circular brass inlays and raised edge. Designed 1939. This example made late 1930s - early 1940s by cabinetmaker Jacob Kjær. H. 51,5 cm. Diam. 74 cm.

In addition to the “Fionia” coffee table, Jacob Kjær designed two other coffee tables in the same style with round brass inlays which he named “Jutlandia” and “Falstria”.
