Axel Einar Hjorth (b. Krokek 1888, d. Stockholm 1959)
“Borgen”. Easy chair with base of black painted wood. Sides, seat and back upholstered with blue fabric. This example designed and made 1929 by Nordiska Kompaniet (NK), Sweden, with brass tag no. R 34433 - C 25648.
Exhibited: This example is the very chair that was exhibited in Nordiska Kompaniet's exhibition villa at The Stockholm Exhibition in 1930.
Provenance: Acquired approx. 1930 by present owner's family. Hence by descent in the family.
