A patinated bronze figure of Buddha Shakyamuni, seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus throne, right hand in the bhumisparsha mudra, the left in a meditative position, dressed in a heavy brocaded monk's robe and richly adorned with jewellery. Ming 1368–1644. Weight 11,500 g. H. 46 cm.
