The plaques are decorated on extra Meissen porcelain, on the reverse you can see different patterns on the porcelain. JG learned miniature painting in Dresden by Ismael Mengs and was employed at the Meissen factory from 1751. He came to Denmark in 1753 and was employed in Johann Gottlieb Melhorn's porcelain factory in Rystensteens Bastion, later employed by Louis Fournier, Blaataarn - after 1760. The plaques exists in several ex. among others in Rosenborg's collections and Ansgar's church, Copenhagen.
