“Artichoke”. Pendant with brushed steel lamellas. Manufactured by Louis Poulsen. Diam. 72 cm.

The Artichoke was designed in 1958 by Poul Henningsen for the restaurant Langelinie Pavillionen in Copenhagen, where it is still a part of the interieur. It consists of 72 leaves divided into 12 rows, and their placement gives a total anti-dazzle light regardless of the viewing angle. Source: Louis Poulsen.
