“PK 61”. Very early coffee table with matte chromed steel frame. Square Cippolini marble top. Designed 1956. This example manufactured 1956 by E. Kold Christensen, not stamped. H. 32.5 cm. W./L. 80 cm.
Provenance: Very early edition of the model, frame with rounded edges. Made for Hotel Østerport, Copenhagen. Hotel Østerport was an early Danish example of Brutalism, designed by architect Erik Christian Sørensen who entrusted Poul Kjærholm the task of furnishing the hotel restaurant and lobby.
