A 14k gold tabatiere of rectangular form with cut corners, engine-turned and engraved decoration, the cover center with two classical figures on a pedestal in light relief, the reverse center engraved with flowers in a jug. The cover rim numbered 238 14. Unidentified maker's mark. 19th century, presumably Hanau. Weight 86 g. Later detachable pill divider of 18k gold. Weight 53 g. L. 9.2 cm. W. 6.4 cm. H. 1.2 cm.
