Volume I: 1919–1947. 157 pages, 74 plates and many illustrations in black-and-white of various states. Volume II: 1947–1949. 209 pages, 105 color and black-and-white plates. Volume III: 1949–1956. 162 pages, 93 color and black-and-white plates. Volume IV: 1956–1963. 152 pages, color and black-and-white plates.

For more than half a century Fernand Mourlot was synonymous with the resurgence of lithography and with him modern lithography found a future. Artists such as Picasso, Matisse, Chagall, Miró and many others enriched their own work as well as contemporary art in general with a new medium of expression.
