“Having no initial plan on how to paint this piece took me on an inward journey. My thoughts and the composition of the piece unfolded as I was painting. I was mostly inspired by the moment but also eager to experiment of how abstract expressionism and gestural strokes would take shape on a 3D object. I wanted to create its own little universe you can look at and get lost in, just like stargazing”.

About the artist: Danish, but based in LA. Mikael B. is a graffiti artist whose piece ‘Vibrant World Map’ went viral and kickstarted his international career. Mikael has worked with brands such as Google, Nike and Mercedes.
