Anne Grimdalen (b. Skafså 1899, d. Oslo 1961)

Anne Grimdalen was a Norwegian sculptor, who worked mainly with granite, and bronze. She studies at the Norwegian National Academy of Craft and Art Industry fro 1923–26, followed by the Norwegian National Academy of Fine Arts and The Royal Academy in Copenhagen at Einar Utzon-Frank.
She is especially know from her many animal sculptures, made in a simplistic style, as well as larger monuments - and was one of the main contributors to the decorations of Oslo City Hall. Her works is represented at the National Gallery of Norway.
