A good Ottoman 19th century Kilij/Pala sword in its scabbard with horn grip, gold-touched quillion, approx. 72 cm. long, strongly curved single-edged blade, gold-touched with inscription on both sides. On one side “In the name of the gracious and merciful God”, “[Help from God] and an imminent victory” and “Ali, friend of God”. The other side is indistinct with, among other things, the words “heretic” koffar and “opponent” doshman. The scabbard with three gold-touched iron mounts - on the upper mount a crescent moon and a star.

Condition

The blade somewhat pitted.
