Provenance: Axel Madsen, sales department at Louis Poulsen. Hence by descent in his family.

In the years 1931–1933 Axel Madsen worked together with Poul Henningsen on developing various chandeliers and lamps. When Axel Madsen in the spring of 1932 was getting married, Poul Henningsen made the present chandelier as a wedding gift with the greeting: “Madsen.. You will probably have three children, so I made you a chandelier with five lights, so there will be lights for all of you”. This chandelier can be considered the predecessor of the “Pyramid Crown”.

Condition

Patina due to age and use, including scratches, marks and minor lacquer chips. Assemblings with minor gaps.
