The English poet George Gordon Byron (1788–1824), commonly known simply as Lord Byron was a leading figure in the Romantic movement and is today regarded as one of the greatest British poets. The charming fore-edge paintings depict views of Malta, the castle of Chillon, view of Harron, view of Pisa and Interlaken in Switzerland.
