A Rococo silver hand-wash bassin, of oval and spiral-fluted form, shallow well with uptuned edge and profiled-curved rim. The twin brothers, maker Anton Carl Severin and Maker Friedrich Johann Severin in Schleswig (town), fineness 13. Second half-18th century. Weight 1,006 g. H. 6 cm. W. 27.5 cm. L. 38.5 cm.

The hand-wash bassin was made, when Schleswig-Holstein were duchies and belonged to the Danish crown.

Condition

Minor wear due to age and use, including few marks and scratches. One tear (c. 1.5 cm.) and one smaller repair at the edge.
