A high back “fireside” easy chair with teak frame. Seat and back upholstered with patinated black leather, fitted with buttons. This example made 1950s by cabinetmaker Gustav Bertelsen.
The “fireside” chair was presented at the Copenhagen Cabinetmakers' Guild Exhibition in 1940. This is presumably a high back version, made to order.
