A pair of Danish Louis XVI silver candelabra, lightly conical fluted stems chased with swags, guilloche and Vitruvian wave friezes, on square bases, detachable scroll branches with applied leaves, light nozzles with swags, vase-shaped tops with saturn masks and gilt flame finials. The bases pricked with owner's intial B, the reverses pricked with number and weight, respectively No 1: W 121 1/2 Lod and No 2: W 122 1/2 Lod. Maker Christian Hosøe, Copenhagen 1786. Weight 3603 g.
