Eero Saarinen (b. Helsinki 1910, d. USA 1961)

“Womb Chair”. Easy chair and ottoman of black lacquered steel. Seat, sides and back upholstered with orange wool. Designed 1948. Probably made on licens for Nordiska Kompaniet. (2)

Condition

Normal patina due to age and use, including scratches and marks. Wool with few minor frayed threads. Unevenly faded.
