A good 19th century knife with hilt and scabbard in finely carved ivory. The hilt in the Swiss style with a square cross section and a down turned guard in the shape of a shell. The double edged nickel plated blade is c. 19 cm. long. The scabbard is finely carved with two lovers in 18th. century dress above the burning heart surrounded by two palm leaves. The scabbard ends in a finely carved shell.

The blade somewhat spotted.
