Literature: Mentioned and reproduced in Baroness Stampe's memoirs about Thorvaldsen, Copenhagen 1912 p. 43. The Baroness' memoirs was based on posthumous records published by her granddaughter Rigmor Stampe (1850–1923) in 1912.

Adam Oehlenschläger is considered to be Denmark's first great romantic writer. His most famous works are Denmark's national anthem “Der er et yndigt land” and the poem “Guldhornene”, dated 1802, considered to be the work heralding the beginning of Romanticism in Denmark.
