(b. Frederiksberg 1912, d. Ordrup 1989)
“Pelican Chair”. Easy chair with walnut legs. Sides, seat, back and loose cushion upholstered in reddish Davina wool from Kvadrat. Designed 1940. Manufactured by Onecollection.
The Pelican's organic shape is a good example of the way Finn Juhl was inspired by abstract sculptures and artists.
The Pelican Chair was first presented at the Copenhagen Cabinet-makers' 14th Guild exhibition at Designmuseum Danmark the 20th September - 6th October 1940.
