The Safari Chair". A pair of stained ash armchairs upholstered with red/brown leather in seat, back, loose cushion, armrests and straps. Made by Rud. Rasmussen Cabinetmakers, Copenhagen. (2)

In 1933 designed Professor Kaare Klint his variation of the “Safari-chair” with special attention to design a simple and portable easy chair. He was inspired by an English officer's chair which he had seen in a travel book from Africa. Constructing a chair which could easily be disassembled and assembled without using any tools Klint maintained the field equipment purpose of the chair. Source: Rud. Rasmussen Cabinetmakers. Condition

Wear due to age and use. Surface marks and scratches. One chair with newer armrests.
