Sexten opbyggelige taler. Cph. P.G. Philipsens Forlag. 1843–1845. Bound in the original blue paper wrappers, with only slight loss of paper binding to spine. Browning to title page and minor spotting throughout. Housed in marbled paper box with richly gilt green morocco spine, by Anker Kysters Efterf.
Presentation copy of En opbyggelig tale. Cph. C. A. Reitzel. 1850. Bound in the original black paper-covered boards. Spine worn. Inscribed on front endpaper by the author to jurist Jens Olaus Hansen. Housed in custom linen clamshell box.

Sexten opbyggelige taler is the rarest of Kierkegaard's works and rarely found in such good condition.
Inscription in En opbyggelige tale reads: Høivelbårne Hr. Konf[erensråd] Hansen R[idder] a[f] D[annebrog] i dyb Ærbødighed f. Forf. (Honorable councillor Hansen, Knight of Dannebrog, with deep reverence from the author).
