Portrait sketch of the artist's sister, Adolphine. Unsigned. Pencil on paper laid on paper. Sheet size 14.5×11.5 cm.

According to an inscription on the reverse, the final portrait, at the time of writing, belonged to Mrs. Brandt in Odense.

Provenance: The collection of iron caster K. Brandt. Thence by descent to his son, the painter E. V. Brandt. Gifted to Svend Kragh Jacobsen by E. V. Brandt in 1950. Bruun Rasmussen auction 465, 1984 no. 467.

Condition

Some minimal discolouration. Examined in frame.
