Abram Efimovich Arkhipov (b. Rjasan 1862, d. Moscow 1930)

Provenance: Johan Poul Quaade (b. Copenhagen 1888, d. s.p. 1958) and his wife, Xenia, née Ilinitchnaja Solonina (b. Kiev 1895, d. Copenhagen 1986). Thence by descent until today.

Johan Poul Quaade moved to Russia in 1910, where he was assisting manager in the company Kargat. From 1911 to 1916 he was branch manager in the Danish firm The Sibirian Company in the Minusinsk-Yenesei Region. Here, he met his future wife, Xenia Ilinitchnaja Solonina, daughter of government minister, police referee and landowner Ilia Solonina, and they married in Minusink 1913. In 1916 the couple moved to St. Petersburg, where Johan Poul Quaade became director for The Sibirian Company, but they left Russia during the Russian revolution in 1918. In 1919 the couple moved to Istanbul, in 1925 to Riga and finally in 1938 to Denmark, where they settled down at Niels Andersensvej 64, Hellerup. Here, they decorated their home with furniture, porcelain and paintings etc. acquired in the different cities, they previous lived in.
