At the Potsdam Conference, which took place in the Berlin suburb of the same name from July 17-August 2, 1945, 'The Big Three' - Harry S. Truman, Josef Stalin and Winston Churchill (in the end replaced by Clement Attlee) - met face to face. The result of the three men's mutual strength test became 'the bipartite world' that existed until the fall of The Berlin Wall on November 9, 1989.
This is an original b/w press photograph from 1945, which has fine surface scratches and a slightly discoloured back.
