A Danish Empire silver fruit cutlery with handles of rosewood, comprising 12 knives and 12 three-tined forks. Maker Christian Hosøe, Copenhagen 1790s and maker Niels Ebbesen, Copenhagen 1812–1847. L. 17–21 cm. (24)

Provenance: Formerly owned by the artist Carl Lochers (1851–1915), then in the family until today.

Condition

Wear due to age and use. To knives unmarked. Some mounts are not “tight”. Askew tines. Laquer worn.
