The firstmentioned depicts Sophie Amalienborg, a castle errected by Queen Sophie Amalie in 1667–73, it burned down in 1689. The artist has created a gouache depicting the castle in 1740.

The paper has turned slightly brown. Discolourations. Examined in frame.
