Late in the evening and early in the morning on August 16, 1977 Elvis Presley relaxed with som family members and employees in his Memphis home, Graceland. A part of the night was spent planning the last details concerning the upcoming tour, which was scheduled to start the next day, August 17, in Portland, Maine. Around seven in the morning Elvis went to bed on Graceland's first floor. He needed some rest before the flight to Portland. Just a few hours later he was found dead in his bathroom.
