A South Jutlandic silver vinaigrette, adorned with ten red glass stones, engraved with foliage, the balm hide with owner's initiales and year 1827, the inisde patly gilded. Enclosed fitted gilt-embossed leather case. Maker Johan Peter Rode, Haderslev, trade licence 1819. Weight app. 49 g. 19th century. H. 9.7 cm. Case H. 10.5 cm. (2)

Condition

Warped. The finial dented. Wear due to age and use. The lid of the balm hide warped. Wear to case, part of the leather lining missing.
