Agnete Bille Therkildsen (b. Darum 1900, d. Vejby 1993)
Composition. Signed and dated Agnete Therkildsen 76. Collage on board. Visible size 55×69 cm.
Agnete Therkildsen is momentarily a student of Rostrup Bøyesen and Immanuel Ibsen, but is otherwise self-taught as an artist. In the beginning she works naturalistically in her paintings, but later she also works with collages, illustrations and paper cuts. She marries Ejler Bille in 1944 and together they travel the world where she develops a more abstract style.
Agnete Therkildsen is represented at the Statens Museum for Art, Holsterbro Art Museum.
