Moscow-maker, 17th century

A Russian silver charka, gilt interior, circular form, handle in the shape of a bird with wings spread, body chased with flowers and foliage, round and raised base. Apparently unmarked. Moscow-maker, 17th century. Weight c. 29 g. H. 2 cm. L. 8.3 cm.

Provenance: A Danish diplomate, who worked in St. Petersburg in the second half of the 19th century. Thence his family on a Danish estate until today.
