Pondus. Unsigned. Ceramic with collage and mixed media. H. 27 cm.
The artist Ruth Crone Foster mixes digital design and classic imagery. She has worked in collaboration with corporations such as LEGO, Diesel and the Danish newspaper Jyllandsposten. Commenting on the Pondus Project she says: “Because I lived in Africa during my childhood, I don’t have a nostalgic relationship with the figure of Pondus. Instead my inspiration comes from different structures, colours, shapes and materials that fascinate me. Like granite for example. Stone is part of the Earth’s core and money is part of the core of our society. Invisible, yet indispensable. With my Pondus I have made the interior the exterior and brought the core up to the surface.”
All the proceeds from the sale of the artwork will go to the Children & Youth Foundation and UNICEF. Bruun Rasmussen Auctioneers will waive its usual fee in connection with the sale.
Original condition. No remarks.
