King Frederik VI flanked by his aides (“Røde fjer”), all on horseback. In the distance the infantry are training on the common. Unsigned. On a label on the reverse is inscribed S. G. H[a]ase. Gouache on paper. Visible size 40×60 cm.

Provenance: Officersforeningen in Copenhagen, inv. nr. 31 (label on the reverse). Bruun Rasmussen auction 698, 2001 no. 1618, reproduced p. 258.

Condition

Minor retouches and a couple of repairs in the upper left and lower right corners. Examined in frame.
