This scupltural easy chair was part of a range of furniture by Wegner for Getama that was presented on “Scandinavian Furniture Fair”, in “Bella Centret”,18th.-21st. May, 1967. The serie included the better known “Hammock chair”. The unusualy with this model was, that it was a stacking easy chair. The model was available with an upholstered seat, plywood seat or as here with the more sculptural open papercord seat. The chair turned out to be too costly to produce and difficult to sell. It was only produced for a very short time.
