Johan Thomas Lundbye (b. Kalundborg 1818, d. Bedsted 1848)

View from Vallekilde Præstegaard. Unsigned. Dated Vallekilde Præstegaard 3. juli 1836. Drawing ink and wash on paper mounted on paper. Sheet size 8.7×15.5 cm.

Lundbye was very fond of Vallekilde and executed numerous works from the vicarage, which belonged to Lundbye's uncle, and its surroundings.

Provenance: Bruun Rasmussen auction 1802, 2018 no. 103.

Condition

The paper has turned slightly brown. Minimal paper loss in corners. Examined in frame.
