The Potsdam Conference - whose main agenda was the new scheme of Europe after World War II - took place at the Cecilienhof Manor in the Berlin suburb Potsdam between July 17 and August 2, 1945. The principal participants were US President Harry S. Truman, Soviet dictator Joseph Stalin and British Prime Minister Winston Churchill (replaced on July 26 by newly elected Prime Minister Clement Attlee).
This is an original black-and-white silver gelatin press photograph from 1945, which appears with normal signs of age and handling. Telegram on back has yellowed.
