A pair of Chinese hardwood armchairs, richly carved with openwork ornamentation and armrests with dragons each with free-cut ball in each mouth, seats and backs upholstered in purple artificial leather. Guangzhou, approx. 1860. (2)

Provenance: Information from the seller, the chairs were bought from Knuthenborg estate.

Marks and scratches. Wear. There is a pice of wood missing on one foot.
