A Norwegian Rococo silver snuff box, gilt interior and lid, circular form with retracted sides, hinged lid applied with agate, surrounded by Rococo ornamentation. Bergen town mark, presumably maker Jens Kahrs, active 1738–1781. Weight 66 g. H. 3 cm. Diam. 5.5 cm.
Provenance: From the collection of supreme court litigator Ole Gangsted-Rasmussen (1911–1998).
Condition
