Krestine Harboe (b. 1977)

Untitled, 2020. Signed Krestine Harboe. Glazed earthenware. 32×20×17 cm.

The Danish artist Krestine Harboe (b. 1977) lives and works in Aarhus Denmark. She is a recognized artist with a passion for Norse mythology and nature. After graduating from Aarhus Art Academy in 2016, she has created an impressive collection of ceramic works that explore the connection between culture, mythology, and art. Her unique approach and technical skills have made her a significant figure in ceramic art in Denmark. Her sculptures, often completely abstract with a strong organic feel, are the result of a method that involves collecting branches and organic material, applying different types of liquid clay and careful firing to leave traces and shapes in the porcelain- like clay. Represented at Jacob Bjorn Gallery.
