Provenance: According to information: Emmy Langberg, 1902–1993, photographer, etnographer and adventurer. In the 1920s-1930s she was secretary for the Danish polar explorer Knud Rasmussen, 1879–1933, and accompanied him on four expeditions to Greenland. She was assistant instructor on the movie Palos Brudefærd in 1934. Thereafter in the collection of Ib Geertsen. There called “Emmy”. Ib Geertsen, 1919–2009, was a Danish painter and sculptor. He also collected Greenlandic crafts and wrote about Greenlandic masks.
Wear due to age and use. Some cracks.
