“Amager” - a Danish collection of silver-gilt folk costume jewelry, comprising three pairs of shirt buckles and a pair of associated belt buckles, decorated with filigree ornamentation. Maker Johan Georg Holm, Copenhagen 1839–1882. Futhermore silver-gilt spear and chain, engraved with owner's initials KCS 1887. Weight 140 g. Each single buckle 5×5 cm. L. spear 12 cm. L. chain 158 cm. (9)

The present folk costume jewelry is a type from Tårnby Parish, but in the later 19th century type was also worn in Store Magleby Parish.

Condition

Minimal wear due to age. Four buckles with minor loose mounted filigraa. One mounting-thread missing on one buckle. To mounting-threads missing on one buckle. One piece of filigree mounted on buckle with sewing thread. One piece of filigree (on belt buckles) mounted with plastic thread. The middle filigree part on the belt buckles with chip and this is loose mounted.
